Global hand measurement study

Logitech is best known for making control devices for personal computers such as mice and keyboards.
Goal
To learn about the range of hand sizes of adults. Helping answer the question: do our products serve all people, are certain groups underrepresented and are there missed opportunities?
Research activities
Design and conduct a pilot study in Cork, Ireland and roll out the measurement study on a global basis.
Insights
Female adult asians have some of the smallest hand sizes. This is, for example, important when considering a female gaming mouse.
Outcome
Size measurement data bell curves arrange into five sizes. This can be used as a tool for designers and engineers when crafting the next generations of control devices.
