Design Thinking & Sprints

Background

For me, Design Thinking is an open, active and collaborative way to design and advance products, systems and social ventures.

As well as practising Design Thinking I also provide training and consultation who wish to familiarise themselves with the approach. This can be the first step in bringing about transformational change in organisations.

Activities

Design Thinking workshops - Where possible, I apply design thinking methods as described by IDEO. The Field Guide to Human-Centered Design is an invaluable approach for both service design and product design.

Design Sprint lead - I currently apply the AJ&Smart 4 day sprint format for initial sprints. When physical product interactions we found that a modified 2-week sprint format worked best when iterating.
